New Mutants – April 10, 2020
Another movie that may blow your minds in a bad way is New Mutants of Fox. It is said that Disney is unimpressed with the X-Men spin-off, particularly in light of the poor performance of Dark Phoenix. Although reshoots have supposedly made the film scarier, this remains to be seen.
Black Widow – May 1, 2020
The year’s first Marvel movie is the Black Widow origin story. Returning to the role, Scarlet Johansson is joined by David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz. Though details are scarce, fans are ready to see how the MCU goes on in the wake of Avengers: Endgame.
Fast & Furious 9 – May 22, 2020
Among the most successful franchises to date, Fast & Furious will get its ninth installment next year. Returning are surely Vin Diesel as Dom along with the rest of his crew. Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are reprising their roles as the villain Cipher and Magdalene Shaw respectively. This film will definitely blow your mind, and blow up a lot of other things like cars, boats, or even rocket ships?
Artemis Fowl – May 29, 2020
Disney is going to bring us a cinematic version of the best-selling children’s novel of the same name. Although apparently lacking the humor of the book, the movie trailer follows tween criminal genius Artemis Fowl when he finds himself in a battle of strength and cunning against a hidden and powerful race of fairies that might be behind his father’s disappearance.
Free Guy – July 3, 2020
Free Guy has slipped under the radar so far. There has also been little promotional material yet; however, a stellar cast and interesting premise make for an exciting movie. Ryan Reynolds plays the role of eponymous Guy, with Jodie Comer as Molotov Girl as well as Taika Waititi in an undisclosed role. The plot of the movie follows a bank teller who discovers that he is a background character in an open world video game named Free City that will soon go offline.
