Halloween is coming. It is now perfect time for watching a horror movie and gorging on snacks. Before the Pumpkin King arrives, here are some of the most favorite Halloween movies and horror flicks that stoners would love.
Nightmare Before Christmas
Diving into the worlds created by Tim Burton’s movies is fun for anyone using cannabis, and Nightmare Before Christmas has enough trippy animation for you to enjoy at least twice a year. The beauty of the film is that you can watch it both on Halloween and Christmas, and its storyline, animation, and songs make for a great watch if not to mention the nostalgia factor. It is a movie more than worthy of handing down to future generations, but you really should enjoy this movie at least once this fall as your kids are in bed and the bong is out.
Viewers now can’t seem to able to sit still for more than a few minutes, so most black-and-white movies might not have lasting appeal in case you weren’t burnt off a couple of bong hits of Kosher Kush. While the classic horror spoof of Mel Brooks does not need the reefer to be hilarious, with classic performances from Marty Feldman, Gene Wilder, Cloris Leachman, and Peter Boyle, Feldman’s bug eyes are even funnier after a joint, and the 1930s-style sets and sound effects seem dustier and older (but in a good way). Some of us need a really good laugh in between all the scares.
We totally get that The Shining is already creepy as shit. But imagine having your mind racing on Ghost Train Haze when you watch those goddamn twins in the hallway. Not to mention to the fact that the film is based on a book that is inspired by the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, has a documentary about its Stanley Kubrick weirdness and also has a sequel coming out soon. You have yourself a good old-fashioned stoner rabbit hole so that you can dive into.
